1. Introduction

Ideamath (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Veditmobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App on Android or iOS.

By using Vedit you agree to the practices described here. If you disagree, please uninstall the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information stored only on your device

Vedit is a local-first video editing app. All media you import, record, or export stays on your device. We do not upload your videos, photos, or audio recordings to our servers.

2.2 Device permissions we request

  • Microphone — used to record voiceover audio inside the editor. Audio is saved locally and never transmitted.
  • Camera — used to record video clips directly within the App. Footage is saved to your device.
  • Media Library / Photo Library — used to read media you choose to import and to save finished exports back to your gallery.

We only access these resources when you explicitly trigger an action that requires them (e.g. pressing Record or Import). We never access your media in the background.

2.3 Crash and diagnostic data

We may collect anonymised crash reports through third-party services (e.g. Expo/EAS) to help us fix bugs. These reports contain device model, OS version, and a stack trace. They do not contain your personal media or identifiable information.

2.4 What we do NOT collect

  • We do not require account registration or collect your name or email.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not track your behaviour across other apps or websites.
  • We do not use your media to train AI models.

3. How We Use Information

The limited diagnostic information we receive is used solely to:

  • Identify and fix crashes or bugs in the App.
  • Improve performance and stability across device types.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your information. We may share anonymised diagnostic data with infrastructure providers (such as Expo/EAS) strictly to operate and improve the App. These providers are contractually prohibited from using data for any other purpose.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Because Vedit does not collect personal data, there is no account to delete. All media files the App creates are stored on your device — you can delete them at any time through your device’s photo library or file manager. Uninstalling the App removes its local storage.

Anonymised crash logs retained by third-party providers are governed by their own retention policies (typically 90 days).

6. Children's Privacy

Vedit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Security

Because your media never leaves your device, the security of your files depends on your device’s own protections (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your operating system up to date.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
