Personal Information You Disclose to Us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us such as name, email, and Google Sign-In profile information.

• Account Data: To use NoteMath's cloud backup services, you must authenticate using Google Sign-In. We collect your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile picture URL) purely to associate your notes with your unique identity.

Data Collected through Device Permissions

To provide core features of the NoteMath application, we request access to the following hardware capabilities:

• Camera & Photo Library: We request access to your device's camera and photo gallery to allow you to take and attach photos to your Image Notes. We only access images that you explicitly select or capture within the app.
• Microphone: We request access to your device's microphone strictly to record Voice Notes within the app. We do not listen to or record audio in the background.

2. How We Use and Store Your Information

In Short: We process your information to provide our services and protect your data securely on the cloud.

• Cloud Syncing: Your notes, images, and voice recordings are securely uploaded and stored dynamically using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage). This ensures your data is backed up and accessible across your devices.
• Data Security: We utilize industry-standard Firebase security rules ensuring that only you (the authenticated user) can read or modify your personal notes and media files.

3. Third-Party Services

We may share your information with third-party vendors, service providers, or contractors who perform services for us. The third parties we currently use are:

• Google Firebase: Used for secure cloud storage, database hosting, and user authentication.
• Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the application. Ad providers may use advertising IDs (such as the Android Advertising ID) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We will only keep your personal information, notes, and media for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. If you decide to explicitly delete your account or clear all your data via the settings menu, your data (including photos and audio files) will be permanently and immediately removed from our Firebase servers.

5. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 13 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services.
